“I needed to increase my concentration time, reduce my social media addiction & establish a more productive daily routine in my life. After working with Umar for 1.5 hrs, I had a giant leap of progress in my concentration time from 5 mins to 90 mins, literally overnight. The issue, thus, has very rapidly resolved. And I have also reduced my social media usage significantly; around a 70 % reduction in time spent on it, from more than 5 hours to now less than 1.5 hrs daily. In addition, I am closely following my scheduled routine if not exactly.

The main issues I had with my behaviour have changed significantly. My issues were all about not being able to focus on my work for a sufficient time period to get things done. Social media was something I used to get distracted by very easily and I was kind of addicted to it. So, my aim was to get rid of this addiction and to increase my concentration time. Apart from this, I wanted to set a new routine for my life and stick to it. I achieved all this in my session work with Umar over the phone.

Overall, I liked many things about the way Umar works. To state some, my favourite part was his very amicable nature and friendly and kind approach towards me. During sessions my experience working with him was pleasing. He is someone with a polymath’s intellect balanced with a child’s curiosity. That was such an enjoyable experience I will never forget it. Apart from this, the patience that he has shown with me is also unfathomable in words.

I found his methodology quite effective. When the penny finally dropped and I got to know the exact reason why some things in my behaviour/attitude were how they came to be, I found myself in very blissful state as I got to understand the unconscious reasons for my problem. And since I found out it was a lot easier to work towards a solution. The changes have been a giant leap of progress for me from my previous lifestyle when I could concentrate for not more than 5 mins and I had NO ROUTINE SCHEDULE!

Concentration is important for completing any task effectively and efficiently, not to mention to get quality outcomes from the tasks. Hence, this was a very important behavioural change in me which will help me achieve my short term goal to get admission to a PhD program as well as my longer term one to complete my PhD and have a good academic career.

Also, social media platforms once consumed a lot of my time but obviously don’t give me back much of anything productive in proportion to the time I spent using them. Hence, reducing their usage is an imperative for me as they have been a huge distraction for me. After working with Umar I realised that I can spend this newfound time now in pursuing creative activities like I used to enjoy like sketching, painting and practicing singing which has been a long time passion of mine.”

“I had insomnia for six years before seeing Umar. It was hard to go to bed on time, fall asleep and also get out of bed in the mornings. After working with Umar these issues got resolved. I can now sleep on time, fall asleep easily and get out of bed in the mornings hassle free.

Before working with Umar I was frustrated as I wouldn’t be able get to bed at the right time despite wanting to. When I eventually did get to sleep (well after midnight!) I wouldn’t be able to sleep for anything from twenty minutes to one hour later. This meant I ended up sleeping very late and waking up feeling worse due to my lack of sleep caused by a late bedtime. This meant I was late all the time and it was having a massive impact on my education.

I decided to go ahead and work with Umar because I was stuck in negative thinking patterns and needed to change all this. Working with him was different as he helped me positively change my whole perception of myself, life and also helped me discover how unbalanced my lifestyle, health & sleep patterns were. This changed my life.

During the sessions Umar did various things to help including helping me make strategic changes to my diet, taught me about optimal sleep hygiene and ‘upgraded’ my overall mindset and awareness around the importance of healthy sleep and how to best practice it . Umar helped me uncover various limiting beliefs from childhood that were obstacles to having a healthier lifestyle and which helped improve my overall sleep quality for the better. In one session, Umar helped me change a limiting belief that removed my phone addiction habit I’d had on a regular basis before I slept. Umar also helped me design an effective pre sleep relaxation ritual that helps me fall asleep a lot easier than before on a regular basis now.

I had numerous aha moments during the sessions, especially through understanding where the causes of my limiting beliefs came from and better knowing how I could change my experience, as well as developing a deeper understanding of sleep science and the role nutrition plays in optimal sleep & overall health. He is a consummate professional and very friendly. He had a very relaxed and friendly approach when coaching me which made him very easy to talk to and enabled the sessions to flow quite naturally.

After working with Umar, I can now fall asleep on time, my overall physical health has improved and I also find it much easier to wake up in the morning to start my day.
